About two weeks ago, the third year GCM class put on a
Colloquium night. It was a nice event that drew around 150 students, faculty, and industry reps. One of the keynote speakers made a
video a couple years ago in an attempt to promote his company as well as the printing industry. Check it out if you want a better understanding of what I study in school. I contributed some of my creativity and poor acting to a video sketch that was shown after the intermission. We received some great feedback, and as a result, we were invited to attend the Environmental Printing Awards last Thursday at the Eglinton Grand.

As a requirement for graduation, I have to complete a 400+ hour internship over the summer. Given the current state of the economy, I haven't been too optimistic about finding a good internship, but Thursday night gave me some hope. I had the chance to speak to a few "industry" people, and I feel more reassured about the interviews I need to attend in March. Hopefully, things work out.
